The East Walker river begins with the outflow at the Bridgeport Reservoir and meanders through gentle bends and quick riffles before hitting the Nevada state line and continuing it's journey into the desert. Prolific aquatic insect life equals an abundance of incredible fish, and Highway 168 borders the river for most of its length making this fishery highly accessible and popular. While it's a decently long haul from Sacramento and the Bay area, spending a couple days on the East Walker is an incredibly memorable and enjoyable experience for anglers at all levels.
