love it or hate it, the san juan worm catches fish. aquatic worms constitute a large portion of a trout’s diet, and this pattern is especially effective during the spring runoff or after a hard rain when river levels fluctuate and erode the rierbed and banks, washing worms into the current. if all else fails, a san juan worm won’t.
