River Overview

If there was ever a California river to fly under the radar, it's the well known but poorly understood High Flow section of the Feather. A compliment to the better known Low Flow section, the High Flow zone is a steelheader's dream, and an incredible place to stick fish and work on your technique before moving onto more challenging rivers. High numbers of adult and halfpounders hit the net on the High Flow, and the easy access from the levee roads that parallel the river make access easy.

Steelhead are in the mix in the Feather, time to go get ’em! Key in on the walking speed riffles and swing prince nymphs and copper johns at the end of your drift. The grabs are sudden and fierce out here, so don’t get caught with that drag all the way open!
